Your first balayage session usually takes 2.5 to 4 hours depending on length, density, and desired transformation. We take our time — intentionally — to ensure each placement complements your individual beauty and maintains hair integrity. 

Never in our chair. We use bond-building lighteners, gentle developers, and pause often to assess elasticity. Hair health is sacred here. If your hair needs restoration before color, we’ll start with that. 

Balayage is low-maintenance by design. Most guests return for a refresh every 10–16 weeks. We also offer glossing rituals between sessions to maintain vibrancy, tone, and softness. 

Absolutely. Our “rooted transitions” option blends your natural root with diffused brightness. It’s perfect for those who want effortless grow-out or to soften contrast. 

Highlights follow a pattern, often using foils for uniform lightening. Balayage is painted freehand for a softer, more organic feel. It mimics how light naturally kisses the hair — never stripey, always fluid. 

Yes. We assess your current color, undertones, and history during consultation. Whether you’re transitioning from box dye, platinum, or previous salon color, we’ll build a custom path that respects your hair’s journey. 

Come with clean, dry hair (within 24 hours of washing). Bring inspiration photos and a clear sense of how you want to feel. We’ll handle the rest with artistry and care. 

Not required, but highly recommended. Shape and color work in tandem. A fresh cut — even a subtle dusting — enhances the way light reflects and how movement carries through your balayage. 

Balayage is versatile. We can deepen tones, enrich roots, or shift into seasonal palettes while maintaining the painted dimension. We call this tonal evolution — it’s part of the Merité method. 

Yes. If your previous color left brassiness, bands, or damage, we can help. Corrective balayage takes time and care, but it’s a journey we’re honored to walk with you — strand by strand.

We recommend sulfate-free shampoos, weekly hydration masks, leave-in bond builders, and minimal heat styling. We’ll send you home with a custom ritual designed for your unique tone and texture. 

Yes. While dimension appears more dramatically on longer hair, we love painting on bobs, lobs, and pixies. The key is placement and subtle contrast — we design around your cut.
